Hey everyone!
Welcome to the second installment of Eets Weekly! Today, we’re going to talk about the super ultra hyper number one ultimate requested feature that everyone (myself included!) wanted from the demo: a Puzzle Maker! However, fear not because the upcoming release of Eets will include just that!
Since the demo, we’ve polished the Puzzle Maker untold amounts and continually tested it to make it as easy as possible for everyone to make their own bamboozlin’ levels. Either that or we included the Puzzle Maker in fear of angry mobs visiting our workplace…
Anyways, I’m going to show you how easy it is to make a level in Eets using the Puzzle Maker!
- Placing Platforms
Eets needs something to stand on, so why don’t we place a few platforms on the screen! We click and drag a platform from the conveyor belt and place it on the screen.
In order to spice things up, we’ll add in different platforms using the platform selector…
… and we’ll also rotate and flip them using the radial buttons that pop up.
- Item Placement
It’s kind of boring to to just let Eets walk and jump around. Why don’t we add in a few items? We can do so by also clicking and dragging items from the conveyor belt from the screen. To make things simple, we’ll place an Angry Marshmallow Bud (to make Eets jump super far) and a Prankster Whale (to shoot Eets sky high).
We’ll also lock the Whale using the lock button (we’ll explain this later).
Oh yeah, almost forgot! We’ll also add in the Puzzle Shard (a.k.a. the Goal) so that Eets won’t wander around Eets World forever…
- Beautifying Everything
While bamboozling your friends, why don’t you give them something pretty to look at? We can make our plain level look much nicer by adding some decor.
While we’re at it, why don’t we change the background and add some ambience?
- Action!
Ok, now that everything’s ready for bamboozling others, we can press Play to see if Eets can make it to the Puzzle Shard (just to make sure… it wouldn’t be so great if Eets couldn’t ever unbamboozle that level you just made!) Remember that Whale we locked earlier? We can save the level and click on the Test Level button to play the level as if your friends were to play it.
Any items that weren’t locked (in this case, the Angry Bud) are items that your friends can place in order to un-bamboozle a level.
And that’s pretty much it! Nice and easy! Well, that’s it for this week’s edition of Eets Weekly. Happy Holidays everyone!
The only problem I have is creativity, hahaha, always been the problem with any Level Maker.
But what i love about games with Level makers in it, is that I can go and search the web for use made Levels
Can’t wait for this to come out and try out all of the maps the fans have made

So it’s like The Incredible Machine, except that the parts are illogical and you need to learn them?
